You caught us! - myself and the various AI Models I've encouraged and directed to help me work on my website, I'm not really a creative writer, no creative in that space however I've always felt it important to try and have a space on the interwebs, mine is here.
I've utilized AI assistance to migrate this website, manage this website and also produce the posts and images under my direction, approval and specifics. You won't find huge amounts of AI slop here but also you are unlikely to find pure verbatim documents I have written unless you dig through the much older posts on here that have been untouched by AI.
I'm not using AI to try and stay consistent with posting 'something' on this blog starting mid 2026, Here's my disclaimer. If you find an error or mistake, of course there's a human behind this website so feel free to reach out.
Pure unconstrained AI generation in the wild: 9 tangled fingers, a squirrel balancing on a vertical tower of footballs, and a floating coffee cup. Exactly the kind of nonsense we filter out.
How the Machine Actually Runs
Under the hood, we treat AI models less like sentient cyber-wizards and more like eager junior apprentices with a slight caffeine problem. Great for chewing through documentation, digging up CVE references, or scaffolding static site code—terrible if left alone in production without a leash.
Every topic starts grounded in real-world reality: actual server logs from our cluster, homelab experiments on Debian and Proxmox, or dusty project archives from the early 2000s. From there, the drafts get put through an automated editorial wringer: stripping out fluffy corporate buzzwords (if an AI writes "delve" or "tapestry", it gets tossed into the digital incinerator), enforcing proper British spelling, and sanity-checking that terminal one-liners don't secretly wipe /var.
The Human Gate (Nothing Sneaks Past)
Here’s the golden rule: nothing goes live on this domain until I’ve personally reviewed, tweaked, and approved it.
Each editorial step—from generating the 16:9 thumbnails (and making sure humans don't end up with nine fingers or squirrels balancing on five footballs) to the final markdown layout—is manually checked by me. I poke through the copy, make minor edits here and there, verify the commands against a real box, and only then push the button.
